Ben Affleck or Benjamin Géza Affleck is a famous American actor to be nominated for American Golden Globe Award and won as a screenwriter. During the late 1990s after his involvement in the film Good Will Hinting Ben became a leading Hollywood man having starred in several big budget films.
Ben Affleck was born in Berkeley, California to father Timothy Affleck who was a social worker and drug rehabiliation counselor, and mother Chris Boldt, a school teacher.

When Ben was very young his entire family moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ben Affleck started his career working as a child actor with his appearance in the PBS kids' series The Voyage of the Mimi and in several television movies. He also played a major role in Life Stories, 1992's School Ties, 1993’s Dazed and Confused, 1995's Mallrats and 1997's Chasing Amy. Ben Affleck became nationally famous while working with the best-friend Damon in Good Will Hunting. He also received the Oscars in the category of best original screenplay. However in the meantime he also had several box office flops including the Gigli in 2003 and Surviving Christmas in the year 2004. Ben Affleck is a voracious reader of the Daredevil comics. He also became widely known for his high profile romance with actress Gwyneth Paltrow in the year 1998 after her breakup with actor Brad Pitt. In the year 2002 the actor started dating the famous singer Jennifer Lopez. The couple broke up in the year 2004. After his breakup with Lopez Affleck started dating actress Jennifer Garner and after nine months of courtship the two got engaged. The couple is still in the marriage relationship and currently lives in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Ben Affleck is also famous as a dedicated poker player and regularly takes part in different local events. He mastered this game after taking classes under poker professionals Amir Vahedi and Annie Duke, and won the California State Poker Championship on June 20, 2004, taking home the first prize of $356,000. Ben Affleck is also a great fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Apart from being a famous actor and poker player Ben Affleck is also a famous social personality who supports a non profit organization which is called as the A-T Childrens Project. He also provided aid for the A-TCP after meeting Joe Kindregan when filming Forces of Nature.
